Somni, the widget and notifications
Somni is the little lavender companion who keeps your practice company. Somni's mood reflects how recently you listened — and yes, it gets a bit strange if you disappear.
What Somni's moods mean
- Thriving — you've listened today.
- Content — you listened yesterday; your streak is still alive. In the evening Somni gets sleepy and reminds you the streak is at risk.
- Tired — two days since your last session.
- Weird — three days.
- Moldy — four days or more. Somni has started talking to the toaster.
Finish any session and Somni bounces right back.
Streaks
Your streak counts the days in a row you've finished a session. You get one day of grace: if you listened yesterday, the streak is still alive today.
Adding the widget (iPhone)
On iOS 17 or later, touch and hold your home screen, tap Edit → Add Widget (or the + button), search for Hypnothera, and choose Streak (small, or on the lock screen) or Streak & Up Next (medium). There isn't an Android widget yet.
Notifications
Hypnothera can send a daily reminder at a time you pick, an evening nudge when a streak of two days or more is at risk, and a few notes from Somni if you've been away (after 2, 3, 5 and 8 days, then they stop).
To change them, go to Settings → Communications and use the Notifications, Daily Reminder and Reminder Time settings. You can also turn them off in your phone's settings (on iPhone: Settings → Hypnothera → Notifications).
